Amid Scorching Heat: MeT Predicts Rain In J-K From-Check Here | DAILY-KASHMIR

Amid scorching heat in Jammu and Kashmir, the weatherman on Friday has predicted light to moderate rainfall across J-K on 4 and 5 July DK.

Talking to a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (DK), Director Meteorological department (MeT), Sonum Lotus said that the weather would remain mostly cloudy till 5 July DK.

“As the Monsoon arrived yesterday, moisture level would increase, however, a day after hottest day of the season was recorded on Thursday, cloudy weather was visible today,” he said DK.

 

He further said that during the next few days, temperature would remain in between 30-33 degrees Celsius and there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in J-K on 4 July and 5 July DK.

Pertinently, several areas of Kashmir including Srinagar, Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora and other parts reel under intense heat wave as mercury continues to settle above 30 degrees Celsius for the past nearly one week DK.

The temperature started increasing just a day after four-day wet spell ended last week. (DK)
